User Reviews for Raymond Estates Napa Cabernet
Add your reviewThis is quite possible the best value in wine I have ever tasted. It tastes like mid range napa cabernet. Tannins are there, mild acidity, and not much fruit. I am not very good at the whole wine description thing (I shall try to improve), but here is the best description I can think of: At the end of my day visiting too many wineries in Napa Valley, every Cab/Bordeaux blend starts to taste about the same. You can tell it's cab, and that it is decent, but at that point in the day you cannot trust your palate to spend more than $20 on it. Amberhill tastes just like that. And it only costs $8.99 at Trader Joes. Good wine to have on hand for when you need to serve a decent wine to someone who drops over, or at a casual BBQ or patio get together.

Aromas of summer fruits picked right at the peak of flavor coupled with the pleasant aromas of black tea, cranberries and a warm graham cracker crust permeate the glass with every swirl. In mouth, the wine has a pleasingly silky entry and weight as the taste of fresh strawberry jam fills your palate, transitioning to a well-structured, lengthy finish.
