Ravines Wine Cellars Chardonnay Keuka Lake 2006

Winemaker's Notes:

We use the Passito method to produce a rich but balanced style of Chardonnay where the fruit and barrel components are perfectly integrated. The result is a complex, full-bodied style of Chardonnay with enough acidity to compensate for the full malolactic style. On the nose, you find layers of fruit – pear, fig and plum – as well as aromas of toast, vanilla, honey and dried fruits. The palate displays a creamy texture, refreshing acidity and a finish with mineral and hazelnut elements.

A Burgundian Chardonnay from the Finger Lakes that shows lovely, nuanced orchard fruit on the nose and delightful plumpness on the palate. The wine is nicely balanced and a delightful rendition of the grapes.
