Ravenswood Vintners Blend Petite Sirah 2007
Showcases one of California's original varietals. The 2007 vintage spent 15 days on the skins and then 12 months in French oak. It has violet, plum and chocolate on the nose - candied apple, dark cherry, and a luscious creaminess coat the palate. Delicious for everyday drinking and an exceptional value.
Dark beautiful purple in color, and on the nose just tons and tons of raspberry jam. It completely dominates the nose, the flavor is nice with still a good amount of raspberry and touch of cream, the one down side is its a bit thin bodied after the up front flavor, finish is okay but not super long. This is an okay petite sirah but far from the best i have had.

Food Pairings for Ravenswood Vintners Blend Petite Sirah
This vintage gave masses of superbly ripe fruit that dances beautifully with equally ripe tannins. Fresh flavors of cherry, black currant and wild berry with a syncopated spike of black pepper. No doubt about it, this "little" Sirah is a beauty.
