I have gotten this wine as inexpensively as $8-$9 at Sam's Club. This is an amazing value for the price! It pairs very well with pasta! Always smooth and inviting.
This wine is a great crowd pleaser, and is an exceptionally balanced experience between smell, taste, tannins, and acidity. I would say this is a strong buy for the price. As everything is so well balanced, there is nothing in particular that stands out to make this wine exceptionally interesting, but it's got all the right components. Sight-wise, the wine is a nice dark cherry red, yet not so dark you can't see through the other end of the glass. Smell-wise, the wine does happen to have a bit of vanilla/oak masking a slight floral essence. In true Gary Vaynerchuk, the smell is also a bit leathery, or rather, has a bit of that latex glove smell. As mentioned earlier, the taste is very well balanced. Thankfully the vanilla-ness barely makes it through. There's just enough tannins and acid to keep the feeling interesting, but not so overpowering to make a wine-newbie turn away in disgust, and the aftertaste is nice and flowery. This wine is a very pleasant experience in general, and can easily be had with food or without. Strong buy!
Really very pleasant for the price. Fruit forward, rich and medium bodied. Not a lot of structure, but again for the price i am very impressed.

Full of smooth tannins, this Merlot shines with bright fruit flavors of black plum and cherry along with olive and spice.
Clean and balanced, with jammy flavors of plums, earth and blackberry, it has well-etched tannins, a rich mouthfeel, and a spicy finish.
Selected wines from various California counties are blended to provide a Merlot with fresh, intense plum and cherry vanilla aroma. A full, round, ripe berry flavor accompanied by a rather soft, spicy finish make this wine particularly delectable. A large portion of this wine was aged in French oak for eight months to add complexity and structure to the rather opulent fruit characteristics of the Merlot grapes.
This is a nice, dry, smooth red wine. It has pleasant flavors of berries and cocoa, and is very soft in tannins.
Light, with pretty tea-scented herb and cola notes.
You get a big bang for your buck here. It's a terrifically fruity wine, packed with black cherry and blackberry flavors that are long and presistent through the finish. Soft in tannins, and so ripely sweet you could pour it over vanilla ice cream, but it's a dry wine.
Winemaker's Notes:
If you're drawn to the rich and powerful, you'll be a moth to our Merlot's flame. Full of smooth tannins, our 2010 vintage shines with bright fruit flavors of black plum and cherry along with olive and spice.
