Deep ruby with a bright rim. High-toned redcurrant and cherry aromas are complemented by tobacco and cocoa powder. Tangy, finely etched red berry flavors take a plummy turn and become sweeter with air. Warm cherry and plum preserve qualities linger nicely on the sappy, slightly spirity finish.
Good bright red-ruby. Superripe aromas of blueberry, blackberry, licorice and menthol. Juicy and fresh, with sweet berry and spice flavors and good cut. From vines picked before the early September heat wave.
Good medium ruby. Slightly porty, wild aromas of blueberry, plum, game and menthol. Then sweet in the middle palate, with black fruit and bitter chocolate flavors showing a faintly medicinal quality. Finishes with substantial, slightly drying tannins.
Bright ruby. Deep dark berry and cola aromas are complicated by cured tobacco and baking spices. Fleshy and gently sweet, with good depth and sweet raspberry and blackberry flavors. Fresh, straightforward and refreshingly brisk, with good finishing lift and cut.
Shows ripe plum and licorice aromas, with lively, slightly untamed dried cherry, spice and blueberry flavors. Drink now.
This rich, round, full-flavored Zinfandel is drawn from two distinct vineyards in the Lodi appellation. Deliciously drinkable young for its precocious, soft, spicy berry fruit and lush texture, this classic Lodi Zin will continue to evolve over the next 5ndash;6 years.
Black raspberry, blueberry and chocolate on the nose. Soft, round and sweet, with flavors of ripe plum and berries. Finishes with slightly edgy tannins. But should be accessible upon release.
Score: N/A Tasting Notes: Low-yielding vineyards and sandy loam soil result in ample layers of sweet plum and blueberry fruit. Notes of vanilla, cocoa, and spice linger on the finish in this wine with complexity and well-balanced acidity. Dense and supple, this Zinfandel is great on its own or accompanied with food. Drink now or in three to five years. Web Site: Click Here
