Synonymous with Zinfandel, Ravenswood shouldn't be, considering how well this winery handles a wide range of different varietals. The Chardonnay is no exception. Richly textured, with honey, pear, and tropical notes, and wrapped in a warm and inviting vanilla-scented oakiness, this wine has the stuffing to stand up to lighter barbecued fare.

Made from Chardonnay grapes grown primarily in the Sonoma Valley, this wine is partially barrel fermented and partially fermented in stainless steel. It produces a bright, lively wine with scents of apple, pears and peaches, and is particularly enjoyable with lighter fare or as a thirst-quencher on warm afternoons.

One of the best Chards out there in its price range. It has a rich, creamy texture, and flavors of juicy, crisp apples, tangerines and pineapples. The oak is well integrated, adding spice and smoky vanilla. Buy this beauty by the case.

Drawing on a wide variety of geographic styles, fermented partly in barrels and partly in stainless steel, Vintners Blend Chardonnay blends bright, mouth-watering apple-lemon-and-melon flavors with a spicy touch of oak and fleshy note of butter. Lively and refreshing on both entry and exit, it could be all things to all Chardonnay-loving people.
