This is a very good and affordable Cabernet. Sure, I've had better ones, but they were three times the price. What's nice about the Ravenswood is that it has the texture and smokiness that one expects from a Cabernet Sauvignon, but it's nice quite as heavy and overpowering as others.
I paid $7.99 for a bottle at a local wine store, had it with a Grilled Porterhouse and some portobellos and I was a happy man.

Ravenwood puts out some of the best wine at the best prices in my area. I enjoyed that Cab with beef braised in wine ( used a Chianti for that) and it was amazing. The rich fruity taste complemented the beef and sauce it was cooked in. I agree with jmd477 in that you can't find such a good wine at a great price.
