Suggested Recipe Pairing presented by
Layered Rice Pudding

RiceSelect's fragrant Jasmati® is blended with eggs, milk and fall's favorite spices, cinnamon and nutmeg, to create a delicious rice pudding, which is layered on top of fluffy cream cheese and abuttery pecan crust. Pairs well with a bold, tawny port with flavors of dried fruits, nuts, and spices.

After a couple of minutes, I finally put my finger on why this wine tasted familiar, although not like wine. It tastes like alcoholic grapefruit juice. The color is so light it's sheer, even in a full glass, which was not what I was expecting.

Tried this wine while in the field, chasing game, in Washington State. Perhaps it was the bracing mountain air, but I felt this wine made a fair picnic wine, paired nice with sharp cheddar cheese and an elk burger. As Pinot Noir goes, it neither impresses or depresses-- it just is- a decent wine for a ten dollar bill.

I wouldn't it was terrible, but there are far better Pino Noirs for the same price
