Peppery smell, good body, pepper and dark berry flavors. Great wine for the price.

Dubbed “Tzabaco Rancho” by its owner, it was the basis for Rancho Zabaco’s name and future success. This wine is always a favorite. Spicy, fruity and delicious with everything from grilled meats to pepperoni pizza!

Fairly fruity nose showing cherry and red raspberry. Not nearly as fruity on the palate, especially, on introduction. Introduction is very benign—maybe some light woody things. As the wine moves to mid-palate I do get the cherry/raspberry thing, but it is a pleasant hint, not a big announcement. Then there is almost some mintiness—tannin, but not unpleasant. A good wine.
