Rancho Zabaco Zinfandel Dry Creek Valley Reserve 2007

Winemaker's Notes:

Wine Tasting Notes Our Dry Creek Valley Zinfandel is big and chewy with concentrated, explosive blackberry and cherry fruit flavors. The addition of Petite Sirah contributes black pepper spice. The mouthfeel is long and rich; with soft supple tannins matched with the sweet vanilla toast from the barrels.

Their land in the Russian River Valley is devoted to Sauvignon Blanc, while Dry Creek Valley, the “Zin Zone,” consistently produces world-class Zinfandel. Read less
Suggested Recipe Pairing presented by
Layered Rice Pudding

RiceSelect's fragrant Jasmati® is blended with eggs, milk and fall's favorite spices, cinnamon and nutmeg, to create a delicious rice pudding, which is layered on top of fluffy cream cheese and abuttery pecan crust. Pairs well with a bold, tawny port with flavors of dried fruits, nuts, and spices.

With some air the wine offers a intensive nose of raisins and tobacco, not to much volume in the mouth and short finish leave space to do better with the next vintage... I only paid 13,99 - fair price for such a wine!
