Very good value. Starts with a touch of matchstick, but folds into toasty oak, black cherry, tart, tangy structure and dried berry notes that carry through the finish. Drink now through 2005.

The least expensive offering, the 2001 Zinfandel Dancing Bull, displays plenty of mountain berry fruit in its medium-bodied, pleasant, round, supple personality. It should be consumed over the next year.

This plush zin is chock full of jammy blueberry flavor, with little tannic restraint. Serve it cellar temperature with barbecue.

A Zin with tangy, vibrant hints of orange peel and wild berry that are supported by firm tannins.

A lovely Zin for its rich blackberry, cherry, cassis and chocolate flavors, and the tannins are smooth and velvety. Hits with dusty spices that last through the slightly sweet finish. A solid value from Gallo.
