Food Pairings for Rancho Zabaco Reserve Dry Creek Valley Zinfandel
Dusty, chalky nose of briar berry fruit, some plum and a wonderful core of spice, especially dried sage. Red berry fruit profile. On the palate, blackberry and red bramble fruit with nice oak spice, some light florals, and a lovely spice profile that is in the perfect amount. Not overbearing, not to weak. Everything is here in balance as well as acid, alcohol and fruit. Very enjoyable.

Great Zin for the price. $12 last weekend.
With some air the wine offers a intensive nose of raisins and tobacco, not to much volume in the mouth and short finish leave space to do better with the next vintage... I only paid 13,99 - fair price for such a wine!
This wine tasted like I would expect a Zinfandel to taste. Very fruity and spicy. Big flavor. My wife (not a huge Zinfandel fan) thought it was very "peppery" and didn't like it as much as I did. I would definitely drink this again.
Dark purple-black in color with aromas of blackberry, sage and spice. Blackberry, black pepper and spice flavors finishing with medium firm tannins and a bit of heat. More structured than the regular release with nice body but not nearly as jammy in the fruit department. The heat is the main difference here. 14.5% ABV Natural cork closure Score: 85
