A sturdy, rich style, with chunky blackberry, plum and wild berry notes, picking up traces of tar and prune on the finish. Better than previously reviewed. 29,000 cases made. (JL)

Blend: 96% Zinfandel, 4% Petite Sirah This robust, full-bodied Zinfandel, pairs well with pomegranate braised lamb shank, wild boar medallions, venison loin, carne asada, grilled meats and savory cheeses. Lusciously dark chocolate is also a perfect match for this wine.
