Ramon Bilbao Rioja Tempranillo 2013

External Review:

Bright and very opaque pomegranate colour with purple hues. Its wide aroma palette drives us from the black berrties, across the smoked wood and toasted bread to the nutmeg. In the mouth its soft and elegante texture yet blunt and powerful. The wine develops in multiple layers tthat show the effort of integration between the Tempranillo fruit and the subtleness of the oak ageing. It remains in the palate leaving a fresh and juicy imprint that brings back the fruits from the first taste.

Nice and easily drinkable red. Strong in taste, with some tannins but also sweet and mellow in appearance. Consists of af blend of Trempanillo and Garnacha grapes. Notes of Cherries, Vanilla and a bit sweet Tobacco. Opens up very quickly. 30 min. on the decanter is enough.

Dark purple, medium-light body, decant at least 90min. Lots of oak and cherry on the nose, cherry cola and vanilla on the palette with a finish of licorice and more cherry.

Wine Tasting NotesThe result is a wine of a deep cherry-red color, with vivid purplish tones. The nose shows character, combining notes of ripe black fruits and spices, as well as exotic wood aromas (sandalwood). On the palate, it has considerable power and a persistent finish.
