What to Expect

Pinot Grigio is one of the world's most popular wines. Also known under the French moniker "Pinot Gris", and even the German "Ruländer" among others, Pinot Grigio is a chameleon of a grape. It is produced in a range of styles, from the light fruity Italian style that has gained popularity, to a more mineral, flinty rich wine favored by the French - particularly in Alsace - and emulated by many in the new world.

Reviews

This is Laurent Barth's Edelzwicker-style blend, a field blend of Pinot Blanc, Sylvaner, Riesling, Pinot Gris, and Muscat. The wine is extremely fresh and aromatic with floral notes on the nose and a very slight touch of sweetness on the palate. Best of all, this wine improves open in the fridge over several days. Barth farms 3-hectares of vines very traditionally. The cuvée name: "Racines Métisses" means mixed races.

Rich. A bit spicy. This blend of Pinot Blanc, Sylvaner, Riesling, Pinot Gris, and Muscat is a great food wine. I am excited to drink more.
