Rabbit Ridge Allure de Robles Paso Robles 2009
This was advertised at TJ's for $4.99, and based on the reviews I thought I'd give it a try. Definitely tasted like cheap wine. Too much pepper and not enough fruit - out of balance. Pairing it with strong cheese (blue, sharp cheddar) made it drinkable. Would probably do well in my spaghetti sauce, but that's about the only positive thing I have to say about this wine.
As heard on <a href="http://www.wypr.org/Cellar_Notes.html">Cellar Notes</a>.
Yummy, dependable wine- Bought a bottle at TJ's and am off to buy a 3rd case. Fruity, balanced, goes well with lots of food. Also like that it holds over pretty well, for those nights when you don't feel like drinking a whole bottle. The price is a bonus- I'd pay more...
just popped this bad boy open! not too shabby. Impressed for a $5 price tag. I'm gonna go score a case at that price! perfect every day wine, because we should all be drinking everyday, right?

Following the footsteps of the famous Cotes du Rhone of southern France, this delicious blend utilizes a combination of grape varietals to achieve this light, but exciting red wine. Allure is aged in oak barrels, allowing it to be extremely complex, yet its rich, soft and supple flavors present an attractive alternative to the many tannic wines available in the market.
One of the founding "Rhone Rangers" in Paso Robles, Rabbit Ridge is famous for this Grenache-Syrah-Mourvedre blend. Bright red fruit, gentle spice and great structure - there's nothing not to like about this wine! Full-flavored, but not heavy or tannic, the Allure is a great sipping red, but it also works well with pork, beef or grilled vegetable dishes.
