The 2005 Shiraz was aged in French and American oak for 12 months. Purple-colored, it is very expressive, with a nose of smoke, spice box, blackberry, and blueberry jam. Layered, supple-textured, sweet, and full-bodied, this seamless, crowd-pleasing wine offers a remarkably long finish for its humble price. Drink this awesome value over the next 6-8 years.

A bit spicier than the other R Wines Shirazes, the 2007 Boarding Pass features mainly McLaren Vale fruit, offering blackberry tinged with coffee and peppery spice. Turns tart, tangy, almost a bit citrusy on the finish.

The 2007 Boarding Pass Shiraz contains 5% Viognier which provides a floral lift to its Cote-Rotie-like bouquet of bacon, smoked meat, and blueberry. Seamless, complex, and layered on the palate, it is way too good to sell for $18.

Wow! Strap yourself in, because Boarding Pass is taking you for a ride! This full-bodied beauty offers up blackberry jam with a hint of blueberry marmalade on the nose. It is packed full of fruit upon entry, followed up with a touch of smoke and pleasant sweetness. It lingers for awhile in the mouth and has a finish that won't stop! It is a definite crowd pleaser and goes incredibly with rosemary crusted rack of lamb, fennel filet mignon with herbed couscous or even good old fashioned BBQ Ribs!
