Suggested Recipe Pairing presented by
Coconut Rice Sweet Potato Cheesecake

RiceSelect's creamy Arborio gets blended with sweet potato, coconut milk and vanilla to create this decadent cheesecake. Pairs well with Saunternes; a white dessert wine that has hints of coconut from aging in oak barrels.

For the price, this is a good, deep, big and complex cab. Lots going on. Lacks a bit of finesse being so bold, but it's good!

Somebody bought this for me along w/ a bottle of "B*tch" when my divorce was finalized ;-). Deep fruity red w/ strong legs. I took away definite tastes of black cherry. A very bold cab that didn't have me running back to the bottle.

I really love this wine. Every bottle I open seems to taste better than the last and the first bottle was great. As soon as I opened the first bottle knew it was going to be good. Wonderful to the nose with a great taste.

Tried this with a pepper steak w/ some of this wine in it. Great berry taste and goes down easy

An old favorite from back in the day, the Evil Cab has risen from the dead andmdash; this time from Spain! The nose is intriguing, composed of more flowery notes than Iandrsquo;m accustomed to, backed by bright red fruits and a waft of cedar. On the palate, darker berry elements dominate, but the taste of violets still lingers. The spice is more subtle than I expected for a Ringland wine, but then again, this is a new beginning. This would be awesome with barbecued chicken or tacos.

The best Evil ever! (Can there be a best Evil or is that too much like jumbo shrimp?) Right up there with that creepy bad guy from the first Dirty Harry movie Nicholson’s Joker Malkovitch’s In the Line of Fire Anthony Hopkins’ Lecter — you get the idea. But genuine Cabernet flavor nothing vegetal or mass-produced; this one tastes like a nice $20 bottle. Produced again by partners Dan Phillips and winemaker Chris Ringland although this time it hails from Aragon in Spain rather than Australia. It’s time to feel good about Evil. Try it with some liver and fava beans and skip the Chianti.

Dark rich red, with bright crimson hues. Fresh, yet rich classic varietal nose, consisting of black olive, fresh blackberries and raspberries. The soft palate displays complexity of fruit and oak, with blackcurrant and spicy clove characters, balanced with a fine tannin finish. This wine is anything but evil. What could be nicer than top-rate Cabernet fruit from some of South Australia’s best regions made into a voluptuous wine by Chris Ringland and, it’s all wrapped into an edgy package at a steal of a price. Evil is: 100 % Cabernet from 10 to 30 year old vines. Fruit came from three distinctly different regions: 38% McLaren Vale, 37% Barossa, 25% Pyrenees.
