Editorial Reviews for R. López de Heredia Tempranillo Blend Rioja Gran Reserva Viña Bosconia
The lovely wild cherry fruit on the nose is gently dusted with warm cinnamon spice and dried floral tones that are backed up by a touch of green tea and a musky, gamy note. Pristine and transparent in the mouth with bright, zesty acids that accentuate the raspberry fruit and balance the earthy, leathery notes that frame the fruit. Turns a touch dry on the finish with good resonance and a developing gamy edge. Love this fine blend of fruit and game. Drink 2009-2020 93pts

Faded red. Gorgeous, multidimensional aromas of dried red fruits, white flowers, spicecake, leather, underbrush, graphite and lavender sachet. Sil ky and seemingly weightless, with a haunting crystalline purity to the sweet strawberry and redcurrant flavors Sweetly insinuating on the finish, with lingering mineral and strawberry flavors. A remarkable wine that's completely out of step with today's styles: this is the stuff that gets die-hard Rioja traditionalists all weepy.
In an extraordinary turnaround for a vintage that garnered little acclaim upon release, this Gran Reserva has aged incredibly gracefully, offering up a delicate, floral nose and black cherry and wild berries on the palate.
A delicious red wine with a vibrant palate of mixed red berries. The incredible youth and power on the palate are simply amazing all while maintaining elegance.
