R. Dubois & Fils Bourgogne Pinot Noir 2006

External Review by Prestige Wine & Spirits:

A bright and enchanting ruby red in the glass, this young Pinot shows bright berry notes with floral shadings and a hint of truffle on the nose. The entry is a bounty of summer fruits - wild strawberry and raspberry - which then spreads into a nicely rustic collage of forest and fruit through the finish. For you die-hard red drinkers, summer evenings were made for Pinot Noir, and this affordable offering from Dubois is a great Pinot to turn to.

Suggested Recipe Pairing presented by
Layered Rice Pudding

RiceSelect's fragrant Jasmati® is blended with eggs, milk and fall's favorite spices, cinnamon and nutmeg, to create a delicious rice pudding, which is layered on top of fluffy cream cheese and abuttery pecan crust. Pairs well with a bold, tawny port with flavors of dried fruits, nuts, and spices.

This brother and sister winemaking team has produced a wonderful Pinot Noir from Burgundy. It is bold and medium bodied, boasting black cherry, licorice and spice aromas and flavors. It seems soft, yet there's plenty of refined tannins for support. Pair this wine with chicken, ham or even blackened fish dishes.

Old vine flavors lend a rustic yet stylish mouthfeel to this Pinot Noir. Vibrant fruit and straightforward acidity create a wine destined to accompany white meat dishes.

Dark in color and subtle in aroma, full of cassis notes that lead to smooth tannins and a balanced finish. This is one of the best values in Pinot to come to Premier in a number of years.

Fresh strawberries dominate the nose, giving way to scents of moist forest floor. The body is filled with flavors of cherry and earth, all kept in line by nice tannins.
