The Merlot fills the mouth with smooth cherry, raspberry and plum flavors along with hints of earth and spice in the toasty vanilla finish. Full-bodied, yet approachable, with a good balance of acid and tannins. Pair with anything from grilled salmon, pork tenderloin, barbequed chicken and ribs to Thai red curry or Moroccan tagine.

In The early days of Napa Valley winemaking it was a common practice to plant different varietals side by side in the same vineyard. At harvest the grapes would all come in together and make a signature blended wine. At Raymond vineyards the winemaking team has revived this tradition of blending multiple varietals together to produce an exceptional, incredible value red. The grapes of course are primarily from their own estate vineyards in Rutherford and St. Helena which is why they’re so incredibly good. Seven varietals: Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Syrah, Petite Sirah, Zinfandel, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot fermented together and then aged in oak barrels for 18 months. Tastes like Napa Cab only twice as juicy, twice and fruit-forward. It’s a wine you thought you’d never find; a terrific Napa-based red for every day enjoyment!
