Qupe Syrah 2010
This is a classic Central Coast Syrah, combining the spice and acidity of the cool climate grapes with the forward fruit of the warm climate grapes. It has the balance to be age worthy...in fact we just received an email the other day from a customer telling us how much they enjoyed a bottle of our 1989 Syrah-Central Coast. Best to drink it though and save your cellar space for our single vineyard Syrahs.
Country herbs over dark red berry fruit on the nose. Crushed berry and stone with hints of cedar. On the palate, spicy, cedar driven raspberry, black cherry, cola and some earth. Really great structure, balance and flavor. Some nice blackberry as well. 94 pts. 9/2/12 at tasting room
A gift from a friend.. I like it.... Very drinkable inexpensive table wine.. Strawberry..cowboyish... Good.

Bright violet color. Red berries and cherry on the fragrant, spice-accented nose and palate. Juicy and light on its feet, showing good finishing focus and cut. In an uncomplicated, easygoing style and ready to drink.
The 2010 Syrah impresses for its length and textural finesse. This is a medium-bodied, feminine style of Syrah, and while varietal notes never really develop, the wine shows quite a bit of polish and overall harmony for its price point. Anticipated maturity: 2012–2015.
