The alcohol is a bit noticeable here though there are lovely sp[ice tones on softly jammy fruit with just a touch of cool melon adding freshness. Front loaded with fruit and surprisingly crisp in the mouth with crunchy fruit and some nice earth and tree bark tones across the midpalate which set off the slightly jammy wild red berry fruits well. Good acid and just a touch of tannin with decent length and finishing with light spice notes and a gentle insinuation of vanilla. Well made and easy drinking. Biodynamic too! 87pts

Lean spicy delicate raspberry nose. Absolutely love this flavor - medium-to-full bodied with bright but perfectly balanced acidity. A faint bit of tropical fruit at the front and on the finish, which peaks with a strong but elegant spicy grainy leathery kick. This wine right here. This is the wine.

the 2009 growing season got off to a challenging start. A wet and cooler-than-average May created nearly perfect conditions for powdery mildew, the scourge of growers everywhere. But thanks to the tireless efforts of my newly appointed viticultural director and assistant winegrower Ned Horton, we were able to come through reasonably unscathed. From there on, we enjoyed as close to a perfect summer and early autumn as one could hope for. Cool and even temperatures gave us fruit of impeccable balance and finesse. We hand-selected Grenache clusters from the western side of our older vines and added a little spice with the addition of 10% Mourvèdre. The fruit was destemmed and immediately pressed into a stainless steel tank where the native yeast did their little dance and transformed the juice into wine. The result is a floral and fruit infused wine that is a pure joy to drink. Fully dry, but with a gentile nature that makes you want to invite it out on a summer picnic, you would be hard pressed to find a more gracious way to welcome a guest into your home than a cool glass of this charming rosé upon their arrival.
