We decanted this wine, with great precision, but were surprised to find very little sediment in the bottle. The color was a faded medium ruby with slight bricking along the rim. Ludens cherry cough syrup drops, cooked prunes and tobacco showed on the nose with an intense alcohol veil that never fully released its grip. Smooth and silky on the palate with medium acidity and very light in body. Hints of cherry, raisin and chocolate flavors mingle on the palate briefly before rapidly disappearing. For a 32 year old wine, I can't complain. Although it's past its prime, it's still a tasty port!
