The nose was dark and earthy with tart raspberry, savory herbs, coffee bean, leather and the slightest hint of spicy oak. It was seamless and juicy on the palate with tart fruit saturating the senses, showing intense wild berry, exotic spice, and cacao. As it came to a close, notes of red berries continued to excite the palate throughout the mouth-watering finish. (93 points)

94 points Mark Squires (Wine Advocate): The 2007 Tinto, the winerys flagship, is a big, big winner. Primarily Aragonez and Alicante Bouschet, with some Touriga Nacional and Cabernet Sauvignon, it is piercing and pointed, precise and focused, with a concentrated mid-palate yet the acidity to allow the wine to seem lively, not dense or ponderous. This should age beautifully and develop considerable complexity. This has not yet begun to show everything that it has, but it has enormous potential. Drink 2013-2027. (Dec 2011)
