Quinta de Roriz Port Blend Porto Vintage 2005

Winemaker's Notes:

Quinta de Roriz 2005 Vintage Port is opaque with a deep purple rim, the sign of a classic young Vintage Port. The wine shows tremendous aromatic concentration, with fresh and youthful aromas of blackberries and black cherries combined with hints of spices and cedar wood. On the palate rich and well balanced, with layers of polished tannins and the hallmark mineral tones. A luscious and incredibly persistent finish.

Here he built a rudimentary shooting box from which he hunted wild boar and partridge in the surrounding countryside. Shortly after he began to plant a vineyard on his land and Quinta de Roriz started to produce wine. During the 20th century the Roriz wines continued to appear, but now associated to shippers' names. It is now, at the start of a new millennium, that Roriz has been re-established as an independent producer and it is intended to regain its position as one of the pre-eminent Quintas of the Douro. Coconut Rice Sweet Potato Cheesecake

RiceSelect's creamy Arborio gets blended with sweet potato, coconut milk and vanilla to create this decadent cheesecake. Pairs well with Saunternes; a white dessert wine that has hints of coconut from aging in oak barrels.
