Dark and fruity on the nose with luscious dark chocolate accents and lovely smoke, dried herb and toasted spice top notes. This enters the mouth with a certain elegance, delivering rich fruit flavors that are fresh and precise with layers of leather, dried herb and mineral accents adding complexity. The tannins here are ripe and polished, making this quite smooth with enough acidity to keep things perky. The finish is long and complex with tobacco, chocolate and spice notes. A touch of black pepper accents the wild plum and dried cherry fruit. This is lovely and well put together with a slightly modern feel, but the flavors are firmly rooted in the Old World. This should continue to improve in the cellar for another 2-5 years. 91pts

Plum and cigar notes on the nose, as well as vanilla and herbal tones. The oak qualities are somewhat smokey. The attack shows strong red fruit, with strawberry mid-palate and into the finish.

This is strawberryish on the nose, with maybe a little leather and meatyness. Oaky smelling. Nice balance between acid and tannin. Fruity tasting with a little heat on the back end. Would go nicely with food, I think.

Leuchtend rote Farbe mit purpurfarbenen Schimmern. Die Nase nimmt deutliche Aromen von Kirschen und roten Beerenfrüchten sowie verhaltene von Schokolade und Eiche wahr. Am Gaumen entfalten sich kräftig gewürzte Fruchtnoten, währenddessen sich die Säure optimal integriert. Rundum ein Wein von finessereicher Struktur.

This wine is made from traditional port varieties, mainly Touriga Nacional, Touriga Francesa, Tinta Barroca and Tinta Roriz. The douRosa red is expressive and seductive on the nose. It is reasonably full bodied with well developed fruit flavours giving the wine dimension and character. The wine is perfect to drink with many different types of meals as it has a good equilibrium in tannins and acidity. But they have beautifully attractive, clean aromas and seductive flavours which are well defined and will be much appreciated. DouRosa red is an easy drinking wine to be drunk now or within the next five years. It is a versatile wine that can be drunk slightly chilled at (15-16°C) accompanied with lighter style food or drunk at a higher temperature (18°C) with heavier dishes.
