Snap pea and fresh-cut apple flavors fill this with plenty of crispness. Slate and mineral elements linger on the zesty finish. Drink now.
The Aveleda estate is the source of the fruit for this dry, delicious Vinho Verde. It’s a reference for the food-friendly, lemon and grapefruit style, adding minerality and a taut texture to the forward fruitiness. Drink this summer, or hold for up to six months.
Careful viticulture takes the fruit of this estate-grown wine into bright scents of lime, white rose and pink grapefruit, with a mouthwatering persistence of flavor that sets it apart. It’s easy to drink a lot of this, chilled for a June wedding or July at the shore. I know of no other wine in the world that offers the fragrant pleasures of this white for anything close to $9.
