What to Expect

Cabenet Sauvignon: Originally of French origins, this versatile grape produces exceptional wines around the globe. It's usually medium to full bodied with a fine structure that supports black and red fruit flavors with typical notes of olive, chili and herbs that add complexity.

Winemakers Notes

"This wine is a blend of 96% Cabernet Sauvignon, 3% Merlot, and 1% Cabernet Franc which was aged in new French oak for 22 months prior to bottling in July 2006. The 2004 vintage resulted in wines that have stunning aromas, flavors and texture. Juicy blueberries, blackberries, violets, cocoa, and minerals coat the palate with complex layers adding notes of wood smoke and Asian spice. This wine will mature nicely over the next 7-8 years and continue to age gracefully for at least another 10-20 years thereafter. 14.9% 6 bottles 3/21/07 "

"Opaque purple-colored, it delivers a remarkable array of aromas including pain grille, violets, pencil lead, truffle, Asian spices, black currant, and blueberry. This leads to a lustrous, layered, velvet-textured wine with gobs of spicy, ripe black fruits and beautifully integrated oak, tannin, and acidity. The long, pure finish goes on for well over a minute. It will evolve for a decade and drink well through 2045...99." WA 8/07.

Amazing wine. I tasted it at the release party and found it to be consistent with prior years that got 100 points by Parker. I love the dark cherry flavors and deep, well integrated tannins that coat the mouth. I get blackberries, and a hint of chocolate, and some smoky flavors too. Great wine!

Velvety and generous. A supple, insinuating style, with coffee and bittersweet chocolate accents around a beautifully contained core of ripe currant, plum and cherry fruit. Has great presence, balance and harmony. The finish expands impressively agai... Wine Spectator. A Cabernet Sauvignon wine from Washington in USA. 2004 Quilceda Creek Cabernet Sauvignon 1500ml
