I loved the nose of this wine! The taste was a bit too tanic for me though. If you like a full bodied wine with REALLY firm (mouth puckering) tanins, this may be the wine for you.
External Reviews for Question Mark Cotes de Blaye "sam's Cuvee"
Pours an inky garnet color that really coats the sides of the glass. A blast of aromatics- blackberry, cocoa powder, smoky wood (oak & cedar) and warm stones. It hits the palate in a big way with substantial, but fine tannins that set the table for the onslaught of flavor. A cascade of black fruit intermixed with aged tobacco, black olive, sweet spices and fascinating mineral are just the start. Every sip reveals a new dimension. For all its immediate charm ?you ain?t seen nothing yet?, this wine continue to will flesh out and ultimately merit a higher score.
