AUD$25 from Prince Wine Store. A 50/25/25 blend of Sangiovese, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. A small proportion of the wine is aged in barriques for ten months and this gives some element of tannin structure to this young fruity wine. Intense ruby colour, youthful aromas of sweet concentrated blackcurrants, hints of cloves and finely ground black peppercorns. Silky smooth, this easy drinking medium-bodied wine has racey acidity, fresh red berry flavours and light tannins. Long fruity finish. A really lovely wine for cool evening BBQ with chilli-marinated pork chops. Drink now – 2015. 89/100.
