Querciabella Mongrana Cabernet Sauvignon. Merlot. Sangiovese Tuscany Maremma Toscana 2008

Winemaker's Notes:

Mongrana is the quintessential expression of the colors, sights and sounds of the Maremma region: fruity and intense, fresh and embracing, the wine takes its name - and its character - from that of the noble family of knights.

Suggested Recipe Pairing presented by
Coconut Rice Sweet Potato Cheesecake

RiceSelect's creamy Arborio gets blended with sweet potato, coconut milk and vanilla to create this decadent cheesecake. Pairs well with Saunternes; a white dessert wine that has hints of coconut from aging in oak barrels.

WS 88pts, WA 88pts - According to the Wine Spectator - This attractive red features dried strawberry and light cedar aromas and flavors. Medium-bodied, with fine tannins. Lovely now. Best from 2011 through 2015.
