User Reviews for Querciabella Chianti Classico Querciabella
Add your reviewAUD$40 from Prince Wine Store / AUD$25 for 375ml. A 95/5 blend of Sangiovese and Cabernet Sauvignon, aged for up to 14 months in French oak barriques of various ages. Medium+ – intense ruby colour. Sweet youthful aromatics of blackcurrant, cherry candy, Indian spice and concentrated summer florals. A medium-bodied wine with rich acidity and vibrant red fruit flavour, grainy tannins provide a good weight and overall balance to the wine. Perfect for drinking now – 2019. 91/100.

This model of a modern Chianti Classico producer serves up a gorgeously scented, rich-fruited Chianti Classico.
Chianti Classicos vary as broadly as Rioja does. You really need to know the producer in order to understand the nuances of each estate's expression of Sangiovese. This is plush with dark fruit, powder, licorice and solid tannins. All wrapped up in a surprisingly approachable package but clearly has all the signs of ageworthiness.
Winemaker's Notes:
The 2009 Chianti Classico Querciabella floats on the palate with layers of sensual red fruit, flowers and spices. It remains an essentially mid-weight wine graced with exquisite finesse and class, reflecting a stylistic change from some of the bigger vintages of the past. Floral notes reappear on the finish, adding lift and harmony. 90 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate
