Grapey and fresh on the nose with hints of balsamic herbs and blackberry fruit showing streaks of dark, oily minerals. medium plus bodied and rather raw on entry, this shows off bright acids and small if stiff tannins on the palate supporting lovely black cherry and blackberry fruit. There’s a touch of extra weight here that should resolve with a few months in the bottle. That extra weight causes some stickiness on the finish, which is long and fresh. A nice blend of modern and rustic with good purity to the fruit which is very aromatic in the mouth. 87pts

Subtle cherry and spice aromas, tart red fruit and oak flavors, and very smooth mouth feel. Finishes with pleasant tannins and cinnamon and nutmeg notes. Needs to breathe.

Red berries and some black cherries, sweet spices and loads of fruit. Easy drinking

Fairly sweet with a little anise. There is a lightly bitter and sour nip in the finish. A little mineral and fruit flavor, but a touch sugary and slim. Pretty good, but nowhere near Quattro Mani's magnificent Slovenian white. It does not seem like it was made by the same company, or from the same place, or anything along those lines.

Full-bodied yet soft on the palate and the stomach. Hints of cherry and vanilla.

It can be hit or miss with Montepulciano. This bottle is definitely a hit. Full of sweet, soft fruit... also possessed of a healthy dose of acidity and truly pleasing ripe, grippy tannins.
