Quattro Mano is a new wine collaboration between good friends Philippe Morin, Tony Carapetis and Chris Taylor, each of whom brings a wealth of winemaking experience to this new adventure. As with many great projects, the idea was initially tossed about a dozen or so years ago but was put on hold while we all trod our own paths. Those paths have now intersected and the tiny Quattro Mano label is the result. Philippe Morin, a former sommelier (25 years) and now Director of French Oak Cooperage has an intimate understanding of old world and new world wine styles as well as oak use in winemaking. Tony Carapetis, a winemaker for 18 years has extensive experience working across some of Australia’s best known winegrowing regions for producers including Tim Knappstein, Chateau Tahbilk, Palandri, Voyager and currently Virgara Wines. Chris Taylor came late to the industry via a career in agricultural science but has managed to accumulate 10 years working at Mildara Coonawarra, Henschke, Delas in the Rhone Valley and currently Maverick Wines. Providing total creative freedom, Quattro Mano allows us to pursue our collective passion for less-than mainstream varieties and European wine styles. Controlling the winemaking process from start to finish and sourcing small quantities of exceptional fruit from vineyards across a number of winegrowing regions, our goal is to create elegant and distinctive wines reflective of variety and "terroir". Working in partnership with a number of viticulturalists, we are able to ensure we receive fruit of optimal quality and ripeness. Coupled with a non-interventionist approach to winemaking, each parcel of fruit is received and handled separately in small batches, always with a view to respecting fruit integrity and quality. This attention to detail and personal involvement throughout the winemaking process ensures each Quattro Mano release displays wonderful purity of fruit, elegance and balance. Read less

Aromas of blackberries, plums and sweet spices give way to a ripe and juicy palet with soft tannins and a long, fresh finish.
