Quarles Harris Porto Lbv 2007

Member Review by Zuiko:

This vintage in Portugal has a good reputation and this wine reflects that. At first taste, this 2007 appears to be very similar to their 2006. It is inky dark, very sweet, rich with spice and tar notes. It does not degrade with air as the 2006 will. It will age very well. It has a bit more tannin than the 2006. Really delicious fruit in both wines though. My rating -- 93

Their 2006 is one of their better LBVs in the last 7 years. It is big, dark, inky and loaded with spice, tar and plum. Long finish and nicely sweet. As good as their 2000 LBV. Excellent value. Some bottle variance noted. My rating 91
