Reviews for 2004 Vintage
Most Chardonnays have such a bite..I love the Quail Oak...it is light and has no after bite. Highly recommend...it may be cheap in price, but it is one of the most enjoyable Chardonnays I have had the opportunity to enjoy in a long time.
I've been buying all the Quail Oak I can find from my local Safeways ever since I came across it a few months ago. I get a huge kick out of paying so little for such a drinkable wine. I've tasted crappy wines selling for 3 times the price. All the Quail Oak reds have a mellow taste, no sharp bite. I may have a $3 palate, but by that measure I'd give this 4 stars. For the combo of price and taste, I'd give it 5.
I need a little help..I have been looking for places to find this wine in Texas, specifically San Antonio or Austin. I bought a bottle of Quail Oak Sweet Red and loved it. I have yet to have the Chardonnay, but would really like to find the Sweet Red here in Texas.
I almost feel silly but I purchased this at Safeway food store for $1.99 Upon drinking I was stunned, it's quite good. Fruity and spicy to the nose. Fruity and spicy to the taste with cedar notes and a smoky finish. I cannot say more for this really drinkable cheap cabernet sauvignon. I'm amazed
stunning, smooth, like butter, the fruit explodes on the first sip. some pepper on the palate gives it a subtle surprise pair it with fish taco's! be sure to let it breathe for 15 minutes; the best $1.99 Cab/Sauv this spring!
I found this at Safeway for $1.99 on sale and frankly it is actually pretty good for that price.
