Putinka Limited Edition Premium Russian Vodka
A friend in Moscow first introduced me to "Putinka" and I am glad he did. Without a doubt, this is one of the finest Vodkas on the market and one of the best I've ever tasted, at any price ... now one of my favorite beverages. I took a bottle to my (ironically) 'Celtic society' group functions ... who normally like to drink single-malt Irish Whiskeys like Jameson's, Powers or Bushmills and the consensus was that that it is a superb spirit and rests on it's own merits. It is extremely smooth and crisp, even if unrefridgerated, No discerable adverse finish and aftertaste as found in many other common and/or flavoured vodkas. Too bad it is not distributed in the area of the country where I live and must order it on-line. I would recommend this to anyone who has sampled all those other common or inferior vodkas like, Taaka, Smirnoff, etc....This is the best ... and my favorite used to be Grey Goose which I still think is excellant. Save your other common vodkas for mixing with tomato juice for bloody mary's or in orange juice, or even for making Black or White Russians. Drink Putinka straight and your pallet will be generously rewarded. By the way ...Don't believe the poor ratings from a shill previous reviewer who has posted about dozens of wines only one day ...a very pathethic menance to the art of reviewing, a disservice to this website, and who probably never tasted anything at all save for crappy rotgut moonshine or homemade wine. If you don't like this vodka, you may want to have your doctor examine your taste buds. :) A decent price overall since you are not paying for the fancy bottle like some from Finland, Poland or other Russian exporters.
