Pure Viognier 2011

Member Review by JenniferT:

A fresh and bright style of viognier. Quite aromatic with notes of apple along with white flower, white peach, and sweetgrass. More of the same on the palate with lots of mouthwatering acid. Lots of body and viognier mouth coating richness. My sweetie really enjoyed this one. I tried pairing it with a goat cheese and pineapple-guava/feijoa salad and it worked really well. Out of several goat cheeses the slighter richer and less tangy paillot worked better than the regular tangier unripened goat's cheese in the tube packaging.

Suggested Recipe Pairing presented by
Layered Rice Pudding

RiceSelect's fragrant Jasmati® is blended with eggs, milk and fall's favorite spices, cinnamon and nutmeg, to create a delicious rice pudding, which is layered on top of fluffy cream cheese and abuttery pecan crust. Pairs well with a bold, tawny port with flavors of dried fruits, nuts, and spices.
