Punt Road Pinot Gris 2011

Winemaker's Notes:

Hand- picked and whole bunch pressed, 85% of the juice was cold settled and racked to ferment with light lees. 15% of the juice was fermented naturally in seasoned French oak, then stirred for 5 months to enhance texture and complexity. This lovely Gris has a brilliant mid-straw colour and aromas of fresh pear, spice and citrus flowers.The palate is bright, fine and long courtesy of partial barrel fermentation and lees stirring. On the finish this wine has a lingering, zesty acidity.
