Puligny Montrachet Champgain Paul Chapelle 2008

Winemaker's Notes:

92+ Points, Zachys Buying Team: “With only 115 cases produced, we don’t get much of this beauty. Champgain is a beautifully situated parcel at the top of the slope of the vineyard and year in and year out, it is the favorite of winemaker Christine. It has a lot going on with its tertiary development, and wears the Chapelle signature touch of structure. With air the evolution of this finessed, mineral driven wine gives way to some weight and creaminess, nuances of baked apples, citrus, hazelnuts, even a touch of that Sauternes burnt sugar note. This is a palate-stainer, that echoes through the palate with some persistence that makes for a marathon-like finish.”
