What to Expect

Cabernet Franc, along with Sauvignon Blanc, is a parent of the more famous Cabernet Sauvignon. Quite similar in many ways to Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc tends to have higher acid and lighter tannins than its offspring, with fruit in the redder end of the spectrum and a distinctive, aggressive herbal note that can dominate the wine's aromas.

Winemakers Notes

This wine offers a deep-rec purple colour, an intense aroma of red pepper, eucalyptus and spices. Once in the mouth, it is sweet and pleasant due to presence of the rounded, ripe and soft tannins. Its 12 month aging in new French oak barrels grants it an elegant and long finish.

If you are a Cab Franc lover this is a must try - they really got this one right - the price started at $20 and now my local wine store has it for $28! Looks like it won't last so try it while you can. I believe it will age quite well - I have a few aside for 2-3 years from now - cannot wait!!
