Pulenta Estate Cabernet Sauvignon la Flor 2008

Winemaker's Notes:

The Pulenta family make an excellent Malbec wine, Argentina's signature
grape variety, but are now expanding their repertoire and working with
varieties such as those which go to make up the famous Bordeaux
blend...... for some the Holy Grail of vinous sophistication. La Flor
is their entry point range, although the term seems odd when one considers the
quality of the wines in the range. The Malbec is now an established favourite,
and hot on its heels comes this terrific Cabernet Sauvignon, complete with
bench-mark notes of cassis, bell pepper and hedgerow, and a really impressive
balance and authority on the finish, which seem to be the calling card of this
great property.
(Simon Field MW, BBR Buyer)

Suggested Recipe Pairing presented by
Coconut Rice Sweet Potato Cheesecake

RiceSelect's creamy Arborio gets blended with sweet potato, coconut milk and vanilla to create this decadent cheesecake. Pairs well with Saunternes; a white dessert wine that has hints of coconut from aging in oak barrels.
