90 Points - Wine Advocate "The estate’s 2004 Barolo reveals impressive depth in its layers of ripe dark fruit, menthol, spices, tobacco and earthiness. The wine gets better and better in the glass, yet this is a rather firm style of Barolo that is sure to benefit from a slumber in the cellar. This Barolo is aged in a combination of small barrels and larger casks."

A super-well-made Barolo. Very jammy, with hints of spice and citrus skin. Full-bodied, with loads of fruit and a polished, silky tannin structure. Best after 2003. 1,500 cases made. Wine Spectator. A Nebbiolo wine from Piedmont in Italy. 1996 Alfredo Prunotto Barolo Bussia 750ml

Winemaker's Notes:

93 points Wine Spectator: A bit earthy, with ripe plum and hints of vanilla. Full-bodied, with velvety tannins and a long, long finish. Shows sweet, succulent fruit, with lots of wood. Still needs time.--1996 Piedmont retrospective. Best after 2008. 1,500 cases made. (2007)
