Unfolds slowly, holding onto its tight frame and ending with chewy tannins. Best from 2010 through 2017. Wine Tasting Notes Our Provenance Vineyards Rutherford Cabernet Sauvignon displays lively red currant, black cherry and wild blackberry aromas layered with classic mocha and toffee character. Hints of clove, violet and dark chocolate are released with each swirl of the wine. The wines richly textured, opulent dark berry flavors open with chocolate, espresso and accents, and then pick up more subtle nuances of spicy black pepper, black tea and green olive on the mid-palate. Overall, the sensation is of impeccable balance. The wines plush tannins and long, graceful finish make this a classic Rutherford Cabernet Sauvignon, with the distinct cocoa powder nuances of "Rutherford Dust."
Herbal, viney nose but with some hints of berry fruit. Initial hit of currants on the tip of the tongue. Then, there are hits from tannin and acid. A perfectly functional wine, but it does not seem to have much depth and complexity. Additional air seemed to calm down the tannin, but that only seemed to add to the berry fruit.

Robust and chunky, with a solid, chewy core of earthy currant, black cherry, plum and herbal notes. It's bright, intense and concentrated, with excellent depth and purity of flavor, finishing with a strong burst of rich Cabernet fruit.
On the palate, the wine offers rich texture and notes of chocolate, blackberry, tobacco and espresso. The finish is smooth, showing classic varietal characters of cocoa powder and that distinctive Rutherford dust. As tannins fully integrate with time, this elegant wine will only improve.
