Složení: 65 % Grenache Noir, 15 % Morvedre,15 % Syrah, 5 % ostatní. Chateauneuf du Pape je víno třešňově červené barvy s aroma ovoce, třešní a aromatického koření. Plné, sladké, zaoblené s texturami na patře. Víno s velkým potenciálem. Roste na vinicích starých v průměru 50 let. Podáváme při teplotě 17°C. Hodnocení: 2006 - 93 b. Wine Spectator. Alkohol: 14,5 %.

Crushed raspberries, white pepper and violets greet the nose along with a big watermelon undertone and some pollen fennel notes. A touch sweet in the mouth and rather light-bodied, this shows off some decidedly plummy tones in the mouth with spicy red berry top notes and a lightly jammy, strawberry back end. The finish is a touch short and shows the acid struggling to cleanse the palate. Fun but a bit sweet for me. 86pts

This is a little ashy on the nose with hints of arugula, blood and carob adding gentle complexity to the nose. The aromas are more savory than fruity but there is a base of raspberry/blackberry fruit here along with well-balanced briary oak. This is easy to drink texturally but it has the same savory, arugula-like flavors on the palate adding compelling complexity to the round yet nervous wine. There are subtle layers of flavor here. It is a little nutty, a little meaty, but then mineral and taut with a hint of rust coming out on the back end with raspberry fruit, licorice and spiky little tannins. The finish is long and zingy with lovely layering of subtle savory and fruity flavors and just a hint of heat on the finale. This is really attractive. It is not rustic but not modernly smooth either, with a mouthfeel that is zesty, sapid and refreshing. Serve this with red meat like lamb. 90pts

This is quite fruity and intensely aromatic, with a fair amount of oak. Sweet vanilla, subdued stemminess, red cherry and currant fruit with a peppery top note fill the glass. This is slightly volatile on the nose, but only to the point of boosting the aromatics. Smooth on entry, this shows some rather extracted, dry tannins, but there’s fine buffering material in the form of rich, slightly chewy dark fruit that’s a bit gamy. Mostly cherry toned with some black raspberry notes and a bit of spice, the fruit rises on the mid-palate and becomes more perfumed and expressive on the back end. The moderately long finish shows a fine interplay of wood, spice, sweetness and mouthwatering fruit. The fruit wins out on the finale. 91pts

Plenty of toasty French oak on the nose is met with notes of dried herbs, fresh leather, tobacco, sweet dark berry fruit, cinnamon, licorice and seared beef. In the mouth, bright acids and nice firm tannins are buried in a core of sweet and sour Jolly Rancher grapy fruit with hints of pomegranate. A little black currant and some black plum notes pop on the finish, which shows a bit of sticky sweetness. A polished, modern and fruity style. 89pts

This opens with just a touch of an acetic tone then turns layered with an earthy, leathery core of jellied raspberry fruit with a touch of vanilla and high tones of pepper, cedar, and a brisk saline note. With airing this gains nuanced floral and star anise tones as well as a smoky top note. In the mouth this is really bright with zesty, mouth cleansing acids framing slightly spicy yet intense strawberry fruit. There is an edge of Burgundian funk adding complexity on the lovely medium bodied mid-palate and a glassy mineral note pops out on the backend leading to a medium length finish with brisk strawberry and pomegranate tones. This would be killer with a fine Paella Valenciana! 89pts

A minor terpene note on the nose quickly blows off revealing a complex and compelling nose of roast tangerine, mineral, honeycomb, brushfire, and caramel corn, though more corn than caramel. The bright acids wash across the palate and lift the pink grapefruit, pomegranate and ranier cherry tones through to the rich, long finish with it's more citrus, orangy notes. Wonderfully evolved but still amazingly youthful; Drink 2009-2020 93pts

What a wonderful nose with smoky, earthy dried thyme tinged wild raspberry fruit that has a slight sweet/spicy cinnamon tone adding warmth and sweetness to the fruit. in the mouth this is just brilliant with a seamless quality to the transparent slightly jammy wild berry flavors. Fine and precise with perfect integration of the structural components allow this mature yet youthful wine to express it's perfectly ripe fruit without distraction. Totally captivating wine 96pts

This was the first Rosé varietal I ever tasted. Impressive strawberry and watermelon flavors, a little bit of carbonation, and lower alcohol content (11.5). One thing I noticed as I drink this is that I'm taking larger sips than with other wines. That's probably because of the lightness and sweetness. It reminds me of a lightly sweetened natural fruit soda.

One of France's best values year after year. The 2011 offers up notes of blueberries, cherry liqueur, licorice and spices. This full-bodied red hits the palate with velvety texture and bold fruit. Vivid and pure!

There is evidence of vine cultivation at Ch teau Pesqui that dates to two thousand years ago. The recent discovery of a pottery workshop and wine pottery from the Roman era (30 BC) in the C tes du Ventoux Appellation confirms that the region is one of the oldest wine producing areas in France.
