subtle, woodsmoke, flowers, perfume, mint, fresh fruit coulis, prosciutto, good acids, medium body, fresh fruit, red cherry, wild berry, very soft tannins, a touch meaty and a touch peppery on the MP, really nice feel with depth and richness yet not heavy in any way, lovely spiced berry fruit leads to a subtle long pomegranate seed finale

Sattes Kirschrot. Typischer Nebbiolo-Duft nach Weichselkirschen, Dörrobst, Nüssen und Holzgeschmack. Klassisch im Gaumen, kräftige Tannine und würzigen Holzaromen. Feurig und anhaltend im Abgang.

Tannins are never dominant in the wines from this vineyards; instead the Rio Sordo has a silky quality on the palate that makes it extremely attractive and seductive, never imposing: like a young, beautiful, aristocratic girl at her first debut into society: modest, shy, but totally confident of her beauty.

WS 93pts. - WA 92pts. - Winemaker Notes - Tannins are never dominant in the wines from this vineyards; instead the Rio Sordo has a silky quality on the palate that makes it extremely attractive and seductive, never imposing: like a young, beautiful, aristocratic girl at her first debut into society: modest, shy, but totally confident of her beauty. Maybe that is why the Rio Sordo is an all time favorite of my dearest friend, superb wine taster and president of Vias Imports, Mr. Fabrizio Pedrolli.
