Prinz Von Hessen H Riesling Germany 2011
A typical Rheingau Riesling with a lively pale-yellow color and light green highlights. A juicy wine with a fresh, clear and fruity smell which reminds a little bit of apple, citrus, grapefruit and in the background a little peach. The flavor of this wine has a light residual sweetness and a clear structure. It is a perfect accompanying wine for any kind of dishes.
Editorial Reviews for Prinz Von Hessen H Riesling Germany
A bit of a potpourri nose with dried citrus peels, dried floral notes and faint dried spice elements like anise seed and fennel, all wrapped in nice apricot fruit. Fairly dry in the mouth with just enough sugar to round off the edges of the acid-driven palate. I like this. It’s a bit tense and firm with an edge of austerity to it. The fruit on the palate is a touch creamy with sour apple along with nice grapefruit and lemon elements, all topped with a suggestion of raspberry that extends over the moderately long, clean and fresh finish. 88pts
Intense and focused pear, peach and floral aromas greet the nose along with a faint underlay of machine oil and stems. This is easy going in the mouth, well balanced and fresh with a whisper of sweetness adding some weight around a core of tart pear, peach and almost coconut-like flavors. The back end turns a bit fruitier and yields to a bright lemony finish. This is a touch simple, but fun and easy going. 86pts
