Principiano Ferdinando Barolo Boscareto Italy 2004

Winemaker's Notes:

The color is deep ruby red. The nose is persistent with powerful aromas such as licorice, spices, minerals, vanilla, and ripe black fruits. Big bodied with decisive tannins, but well-balanced by the richness of the aromas and great complexity that increases as the wine opens up in the bottle and the glass. It is incredibly long and tangy on the finish. For better enjoyment, this wine should be uncorked a few hours before the meal. Perfect with roasted and stewed red meats as well as with hard cheeses from raw milk such as cheddar and provolone.
