My wife and I thought it was a great Pinot Noir. Paid $7.00 per glass at restaurant and they wanted $27.00 bottle.
In the glass, light ruby to strawberry with brilliant highlights. The wine needs air to suggest characteristics of the grape; otherwise pours sharply acidic with alcohol, little fruit. When it mellows, strawberry returns with faint cinnamon. Finish is clean but unsatisfying. Needs food to balance rather than complement. Sharp cheddar will allow berry flavors to come to the front, while ripe cherries, figs will make up for what this wine lacks in personality. Still, at under $11 for 1.5 liters it is hard to complain about a light, rough summer tipple that makes no claim to greatness.
A well-balanced, medium-bodied red with flavors of black cherry and dark berries. It has a nice dark purple color and an alcohol level of only 12%. Good value for the money.
